2. Product Description

Bendit 100mg Injection contains Bendamustine Hydrochloride, an alkylating agent with a unique structure that combines properties of both alkylating agents and purine analogs.

It causes DNA cross-linking, leading to inhibition of DNA replication and transcription, and ultimately cancer cell death.

4. Therapeutic Uses

• Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) (first-line therapy in selected patients)

• Indolent Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (NHL) (when disease progresses during or within 6 months of rituximab treatment)

• Multiple Myeloma (in combination with prednisone, for patients unsuitable for standard therapy)

Common:

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

• Fatigue, weakness

• Loss of appetite

• Rash, fever

• Myelosuppression (neutropenia, anemia, thrombocytopenia)

Serious / Severe:

• Severe infections due to immunosuppression

• Hepatotoxicity (liver enzyme elevation, hepatitis reactivation)

• Tumor lysis syndrome (rare but serious)

• Infusion-related reactions (fever, chills, rash)

• Secondary malignancies (long-term risk)

6. Precautions

• Blood Monitoring: Regular CBC to monitor for neutropenia, anemia, thrombocytopenia.

• Liver & Kidney Function: Monitor LFTs and renal parameters; dose adjustment may be required.

• Infection Risk: Avoid live vaccines; take prophylactic antibiotics if advised.

• Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Contraindicated (teratogenic). Effective contraception required.

• Drug Interactions: Use caution with CYP1A2 inhibitors/inducers. Avoid concurrent use with other strong myelosuppressive drugs unless prescribed.

• Hypersensitivity: Pre-medication may be advised to reduce infusion reactions
