Akynzeo Capsule is a fixed-dose oral antiemetic combining Netupitant (NK1 receptor antagonist) and Palonosetron (5-HT3 receptor antagonist).

It works by blocking substance P at NK1 receptors and serotonin at 5-HT3 receptors, offering broad protection against both acute and delayed chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV).

  • Avoid strong CYP3A4 inducers (rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine) and inhibitors (ketoconazole, clarithromycin).

• Cardiac Caution: Monitor ECG in patients with risk factors or on QT-prolonging drugs.

• Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Contraindicated; safety not established.
