2. Product Description

Xarelto 10 mg Tablet contains Rivaroxaban, a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) belonging to the class of Factor Xa inhibitors. It prevents the formation of blood clots by selectively inhibiting Factor Xa, an essential protein in the clotting cascade. It is widely used to prevent and treat conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation. Compared to older anticoagulants like warfarin, it requires no routine आईएनआर monitoring and has fewer dietary restrictions.

Common:

• Bleeding gums, nosebleeds

• Easy bruising

• Fatigue, dizziness

Serious (rare):

• Severe bleeding (internal bleeding, blood in urine/stool, vomiting blood)

• Intracranial hemorrhage (stroke-like symptoms)

• Severe allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty)

• Liver enzyme elevation

6. Precautions

• Must be used strictly under doctors prescription

• Contraindicated in active pathological bleeding and in patients with severe hepatic impairment

• Dose adjustment may be needed in renal impairment

• Not recommended in patients with prosthetic heart valves

• Use with caution if patient is on other blood thinners (heparin, warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel)
