2. Product Description

Lmwx 40 Injection contains Enoxaparin Sodium, a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) used as an anticoagulant. It prevents the formation of harmful blood clots by enhancing the activity of antithrombin III, which inhibits clotting factors (Factor Xa and thrombin). It is widely used for prophylaxis and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and to prevent clotting during surgeries or in patients with restricted mobility.

• Prevention of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) in patients undergoing orthopedic or abdominal surgery

Common:

• Pain, redness, or bruising at injection site

• Mild bleeding or bruising easily

• Nausea, diarrhea

Serious (rare):

• Major bleeding (internal bleeding, blood in urine/stool, coughing blood)

• Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) low platelet count

• Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty)

• Elevated liver enzymes

• Contraindicated in active major bleeding or history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT)

• Dose adjustment required in renal impairment
