Epithra 10mg Injection contains Epirubicin Hydrochloride, an anthracycline chemotherapy drug. It works by intercalating DNA strands and inhibiting topoisomerase II, leading to disruption of DNA replication and RNA transcription. This results in apoptosis (cell death) of rapidly dividing cancer cells.

It is widely used in the treatment of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, gastric cancer, and lung cancer, either alone or in combination with other chemotherapy agents.
